TUTORIAL (Optional, Designed for New Members) : 5:00 PM - 6:15 PM

Congratulations on your positive choice to consider building your PMI professional skills as a member of our Chapter! By this initiative, you’re securing access to a comprehensive network of career resources and multiple opportunities to grow your own skills and get ahead of your peers in industry. Now, the next step is to get to know one another, so we cordially invite you to join us for the Member Orientation from 5:30-6:15 p.m. This event is for any member that is new to the chapter, as well as those considering joining or current members who want to refresh their contacts and information.

The  presentation will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Global and local chapter benefits, training & PDU opportunities, scheduled membership activities and your benefits for active participation. In addition, this is a great opportunity to meet the current Board members and find out more about their Chapter vision and goals.

Main Event Topic: The Magic of Inspiration - Engage, Enlighten, Inspire

Description: If you’ve ever tried getting your staff “motivated”, you’ll know it doesn’t last.  In this inspiring program on the nature of inspiration itself, Mitch shwos why the standard “hype” of so-called “motivation” simply won’t work in the long run, and why true inspriration will.  Mitch shares the magic of how to become inspired in all areas of life, and how work, personal, and private aspects of life overlap and maerge together.  Bringing the magic of inspiration into AlL areas of life makes us more productive, fulfilled, purposeful, and even more healthy.

In this inspiring talk based on content from his book by the same name, Mitch introduces his compelling “philosophy of magic”, with transformative insights gleaned from theatrical magic, mythology, and modern psychology.  Mitch also introduces the principle of “magical moments”, or what psychologist, Abraham Maslow, called “peak experiences”, and his discovery that all self-actualized people report having them.  What they are, how to experience them, and how they can transform our lives.
