    Here are the candidates for each of these positions.

     

    President-Elect : Brenda Murphy

    (2018 – 2021)

    PMIMSL Member since: 12/01/2008

    Credentials: PMP, PMI-ACP

    Current Working Experience: Program Manager, Thomson Reuters

    Previous PMI Volunteer Experience:

    • Vice President of Programs
    • Director of Member Communication

     

    Why I am running for this position:

    1) I strongly value what this chapter brings to its membership and the project management profession. The chapter has a strong board of directors and I would like to continue to grow that level of engagement.

    2) I have a passion for the St. Louis community and know that the PMIMSL chapter can enhance the professional experience for all of its members. I would like to have more community recognition of the PMIMSL chapter by continuing to expand our brand.

    3) I envision a number of additional opportunities that I would like to incorporate to further provide benefit to our membership.


     

    President-Elect:  Fred Gowin

    Why I am running for this position:

    1) I have a passion for Project Management.  I became a project manager because I saw a need for business and IT to communicate.  I think I’ve been successful in filling that role.
    2) I also enjoy helping people and sharing knowledge, and believe anyone I’ve encountered  can  vouch for that.  I also like to see people succeed.

    3) I believe as president, I can bring all these things together, as well as continue the successes of the previous administrations.  I will continue to build on the legacy of the presidents before me.


     

    Vice President - Outreach : Ezekiel “Zeke” Meyer

    Why I am running for this position:

    1) As an established leader passionate about directing programs and guiding others to steadfastly drive growth, accelerate change, implement strategic process and continuous performance improvements.
    2) Continuing to serve in this Outreach role will provide opportunities for maintaining and improving our chapter’s relations with academic, community, corporate and other professional entities. 

    3) By collaborating across Outreach - the Academic, Community, and Corporate Outreach teams provide the opportunity to increase awareness of the value we bring to our members and community we serve.


     

    Vice President - Administration : Debbi Stafford

    Why I am running for this position:

    1) Although Debbi currently resides in Columbia, she remains a member of PMIMSL, and seeks to complete a second term in her current position, to complete the work that in progress in the area of Policies and Procedures development.

    2) She also desires to remain connected to both the PMIMSL Board and Chapter membership.


     

    Vice President - Volunteers : Shaun Simms

    Why I am running for this position:

    1) Improve the overall Volunteer Experience
    2) Increase VRMS Utilization to greater than 95%
    3) Work to keep Volunteer retention above 75%, and increase annual volunteers to 10% of our Membership.

     

    Vice President - Membership : Cheryl Strackeljahn
