March President's Message
PMI Metropolitan St. Louis members:
March already – and spring is just around the corner! Which is good, as the weather won in February, forcing us to reschedule the Annual Membership Meeting.
This was a tough decision, but the safety of our members is our top priority! The good news is, we plan to go ahead with the meeting in March! Same time: March 19th at 6:00 PM; same place: Maritz Corporation – thanks to Maritz for accommodating us! If you registered for February, you are all set for March – you need do nothing!
AND you can still sign up for the Annual Membership Meeting on March 19! This is the time we recap for our members all we did in 2024 and our plans for 2025. This is your opportunity to meet your 2025 Board and tell them what you would like to see happen with the Chapter. We will take your ideas and see how (and if) we can work them into the plans for 2025 and beyond. You will also have the opportunity to talk to us about volunteering for the chapter, because…
We are looking for volunteers!
We cannot hope to meet the needs of you, our members, without YOUR help. We have plenty of opportunities to volunteer! Most of these volunteer roles are for a minimum amount of time. We list some of the openings on our webpage under ‘Get Involved’. However, to apply, you must use the VEP Platform. If you are interested, I recommend making sure your VEP (Volunteer Engagement Platform) ‘Profile’ is up to date! Then, go to: ‘Find an Opportunity’, and under ‘Chapter’ select ‘Metropolitan St. Louis’. This will pull up all of our current openings. Select the one(s) which interest you, fill out the application and we’ll be in touch!
Keep checking the website: PMIMSL.org: we are constantly updating as we go forward. Rebuilding is slow, but we hope to increase information each month going forward. One item to be posted soon: if you are enrolled in or applying for an accredited academic degree program in project management or a related field benefiting from project management, we will be offering a PMIMSL Scholarship of $1500 to help defray your education costs! Information to follow!
To be a successful chapter, we need YOU, the members, to tell us what you need. Check out the ‘Board of Directors’ page and send an email to any one of us to let us know what you feel is important for your Board to consider going forward!
