September was a full month for our members and our wonderful Volunteers!

  • Our FIRST Speed Mentoring event since 2020!
    • Connect. Learn. Grow. PMIMSL Speed Mentoring
    • This event brought 33 of our members together for high-energy project management discussions!
    • Keep watch on our website for more Mentoring events in 2026!
  • Project Management for Purpose: A Day of Nonprofit Empowerment
    • We had around 20 folks come to learn how project management skills can help when planning nonprofit events and activities.
    • PMIMSL volunteers worked with the nonprofits on specific issues the nonprofit was experiencing. All left with great ideas to implement!
  • Our September Virtual Meeting
    • Sustainable Practices for Project Managers
    • We explored how project management can move beyond traditional measures of cost, time, and scope to embrace a holistic approach that balances efficiency with long-term environmental, social, and economic impact.

  • IPM Day (International Project Management Day)
    • Date: November 6, 5:30 – 8:30 PM
    • Location: Clayton Plaza Hotel
    • Speaker: Dr. Benjamin Anyacho, MBA, PMP
    • Topic: 'The Autonomous Project Manager: A New Era of Leadership'

Election Results are in!

The membership voted to approve the changes to the Bylaws. This will help prepare us for the ‘New Membership Model’ coming from PMI in early 2027. Help us congratulate our newest Board members!

For 2026-2027:

  • Vice President Administration and Governance: Mea Hampton, PMP PMI-ACP
  • Vice President of Membership: Dan Jackson
  • Vice President of Volunteers: Dana Douthitt
  • Vice President of Outreach: Tyler Norman, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, PMI-PMOCP, PMO-CP,     PMP, PfMP, PgMP
  • President-Elect for 2026: Marina Malkina, PMP (will become President 2027 – 2028)
