Important Alert: Beware of Scams Posing as Our Chapter

Dear PMIMSL Members,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to bring an important matter to your attention to ensure everyone’s safety and preparedness. Recently, there have been reports within professional communities of scams where individuals impersonate organizations, including chapter leadership, requesting money or sensitive information.

Please be vigilant for any suspicious emails, messages, or calls claiming to be from our chapter that ask for financial contributions, urgent payments, or personal details. Our chapter will never send out unsolicited requests for money or sensitive information without proper context and official communication channels.

To protect yourself:

  • Verify any request directly with chapter leadership before taking action.
  • Check the sender's email address and details carefully—scammers may use subtle impersonations.
  • Avoid clicking on unsolicited links or attachments.

If you receive anything suspicious, do not respond. Instead, report it immediately to Mea Hampton at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.; or Theresa Luebcke at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so we can take appropriate action.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and for keeping our chapter community safe.
