Pivot Point Collective: Busting Limiting Beliefs with Kayla Quijas 2/19/26 (virtual)

Kayla Quijas started as a cake decorator, stuck in a dead-end job, until she made a bold move into the corporate world. That leap led her to discover project management—a career that aligned with her strengths and completely transformed her life. After earning her PMP, she gained the confidence, purpose, and financial stability she’d been missing. Now, as a career coach, she helps others break into project management, build confidence, and take control of their careers.
Session Overview
After being fired in 2020, I packed everything I owned into a storage unit, left an apartment I loved, and moved 2,000 miles to live with my younger sister - convinced my disjointed background meant I’d always be behind. Then, a performance improvement plan (PIP) in my first project management role threatened to shatter the one thing holding me up: my belief in what I was capable of.
In this session, I show why the biggest factor shaping your career isn’t your skills, experience, or even circumstances - it’s what you believe you’re allowed to want, and whether you trust yourself to handle what comes next. You’ll learn a simple model for building durable belief through preparedness, proximity to opportunity, and response - so you can stop letting fear make decisions and start designing a career trajectory on purpose.
Once you register for a Pivot Point Collective event, you’re all set. You don’t need to register for future sessions individually. You’ll automatically receive invites for all upcoming meetings.
Please note: The Microsoft Teams invite will be sent 1–3 days after you register, either by the Director of Mentoring or the VP of Membership. If you haven’t received it by then, or before the day of the meeting, reach out to
