1. What volunteer position do you currently hold? I am the PMIMSL VP of Programs
2. What are the duties/responsibilities of your current role?
- Manage chapter dinner meetings, alternate venue meetings, i.e., breakfast, after hours, virtual
- Work with the volunteers to create the annual schedule of meetings, determine the topics, and recruit speakers.
- Introduce speakers and announce upcoming events at monthly dinner meetings.
- Review Events Requirements Document and update as needed.
- Manage documentation (i.e. Information for Speakers, metrics, etc.) for Programs Committee
- Maintain list of potential topics, speakers, and related contact information Provide Program Budget information and monitor throughout year to confirm adherence.
- Provide content to newsletters as well as annual report.
- Represent Program Committee during Strategic Planning Meeting.
- Work with the Communication team to create and distribute invitations and email blasts
- Ensure that PDUs are loaded in system in a timely manner following events
- Additional roles and responsibilities as agreed to by the Board - Coordinate Career Day events as well as other ad hoc events (i.e. Golf Tournament, IPM day, etc.) – still TBD
- Oversee the Director of Facilities as well as the Registration Manager to ensure logistics are communicated – still TBD
3. How long have you been in this role? Brand new role for me as a volunteer for PMIMSL that commenced at the beginning of 2025
4. How long have you been volunteering for PMI? I have been a volunteer for PMIMSL for over 3 years. I volunteered as a manager of alternate venues and subsequently as a director of alternate venues <3
5. What's your favorite thing about volunteering? The people you meet and the joy of bringing them together for a common purpose and goal. People are much happier together.
